Caroline & Jonathan met in the tumultuous world of 2020. Caroline reached out to him to have merch made to rebuild her business in the aftermath of Covid. They met in masks when Jonathan delivered the first of many print orders for her brand & the shop.
A business relationship led to a friendship, which eventually grew to an unbreakable bond. Once the noise of the outside world was distilled down, they were able to realize what was most important: each other.
Symbolism in Artwork
The clouds & stars seen in the invitation and record are a nod to the German renaissance artist, Albrecht Dürer. His work was introduced to Caroline at an early age by her mother’s printmaking practices of copperplate etching. Jonathan has a similarly styled etching tattooed on his arm from decades earlier. One of their first interactions was Caroline recognizing it. The etching has held a special place in their hearts ever since, and became the basis for Jonathan’s left sleeve by Caroline. They had matching stars tattooed on their ring fingers for their engagement.
Classically, the arch or portal is depicted as a doorway to the mystical. The many arches seen in their designs lead to the tracks behind their home. The train tracks are one of the most important attributes that led to finding their house & building their lives together.

We are grateful your friendship and love. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us!
